Basalt Labs was formed in 2026 by engineers with more than seven years of experience building software for clients. Alongside client work, we are developing our own software products, including AI-powered tools.

Questions, answered.
How do payments work?
We invoice in USD. Clients pay by card or bank payment through Stripe, or through PayPal. Fixed-scope projects are billed according to the milestone schedule in your proposal; hourly work and retainers are billed monthly.
Who owns the code?
You do, once your invoices are paid. At that point the corresponding invoices are paid, rights in the work we create for you transfer to you, as set out in your agreement.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes. We are happy to sign your NDA or provide ours before you share any details about your project.
How fast can you start?
Usually within one to two weeks of a signed proposal. Small tasks can often start sooner.
Where is the team?
Basalt Labs LLC is a Wyoming LLC. Our engineers work remotely and are available Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–6 p.m. ET.
